Amends Title 18 (Crimes and Offenses) by further defining the offense of assault on law enforcement officer by creating a second degree felony for individuals who, while in official custody, intentionally or knowingly causes another to come into contact with blood, seminal fluid, saliva, urine or feces that the person knows or should know is infected by a communicable disease. "Law enforcement officer" is further defined to include an officer of the State Police and a member of a police force employed by a city, township, incorporated town or borough or a regional police.
